We are thrilled to host Meet & Greet events with authors frequently in our bookstore.  We also offer our space to larger groups for lectures or workshops after hours with prearrangement.  If you would like us to consider a certain occasion, please e-mail an overview of the proposed event to Cynthia at cynthia@pilgrimsway.com with several potential dates.

Some of the other functions we have hosted include art demonstrations, musical concerts, lunch time discussion groups, collaborative community events and private groups or parties.

Layne Littlepage, highly gifted actress and singer, joins Taelen Thomas, renowned bard, in a spirited "Dialogue between Dorothy Parker & Ogden Nash."   Mrs. Parker was one of the sharpest and quickest wits of all time, and Nash, with his "crazed affection for the English Language," composed much of America's finest light verse, mostly concerning "life's minor idiocies." The two were close friends and mutual admirers, both spent time in Carmel, and this show is a lot of fun.

Taelen Thomas, "legendary local," performs as AMBROSE BIERCE in a Flashback to Carmel circa 1910.   Carmel at the Pine Inn, where Bierce actually stayed for a reasonable period of time before announcing that "too many objectionable people come to Carmel, too many cranks and curios. It is a nest of anarchists. I shall not return." Bierce did not, of course, return, but he had plenty to do and say while he was here.
